Christ the Redeemer – My Daily Bread!
Our call to praise our Lord is taken from Hebrews 13: 8, NIV which reads:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
As we meditate on the significance of the death of Christ our Savior we find wonderful comfort in this passage for it speaks to our God’s unchanging purpose and everlasting love. Jesus gave His life for us on Calvary, and because of His death we are able to be reconciled to the Most Holy God!
Saints, the same love that allowed God to give His Son as a sacrifice for mankind is the same love that does not allow us to be consumed as we walk in His footsteps. We live in a world where many do not believe that Christ is the way and the truth and the light of God. However, those who believe in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection rejoice that Jesus always remains the same! He is our Light of the World, our Great High Priest and Holy Redeemer!
