He is Risen!

He is Risen – My Daily Bread!

Our call to praise and worship the Lord on Resurrection Sunday is taken from Luke 24: 1-7, NKJV and it reads:

“Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.  But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.  Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.  And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shinning garments.  Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, ‘Why do you seek the living among the dead?  He is not here, but is risen.  Remember how he spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’”

Saints, let us celebrate the resurrection of our Lord!   Because He lives we can face tomorrow with confidence; drawing comfort from knowing that Christ holds our future as He sits at the right hand of God!   And what should be our response to this indescribable gift?  The Apostle Paul put it this way:  “If then you are raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.  For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.  When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”  (Colossians 3: 1-4, NKJV)

Alleluia, for the Lord God, the God of heaven and earth reigns and we are the heirs of His grace, a grace that saves!
