The Word of Life!

The Word of Life – My Daily Bread!

Our call to know God is taken from Psalm 119: 49-50 which reads:

“Remember the Word to your servant, upon which you have caused me to hope.  This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has given me life”.

God’s Word is beautiful; it truly is our guiding light in the life of the Christian; for through it we are able to live!  May your heart rejoice every time you read the Lord’s God-breathed message.  Everything in it is important and has some form of relevance in our lives today.  No one else but God could have written such a timeless piece that pours forth His glory and majesty, His grace and mercy, and His loving kindness and faithfulness.

The most incredible thing about God’s Word is the fact that He reveals Himself through the pages of this awesome diary for us!  For the story is all about Him!  If you want to see His character, truly know who God is – seek Him in His Word!  But unlike a Dairy, where the story is finished when you pick up the book; there is a part that relates to each of us that has yet to be written.  As we live and breathe each day we etch out another chapter or line or two of our response to God and His written Word; in this sense we are part of the story.   Each step we take is a step either toward God and His truths or away from Him; there simply is no neutral ground.

Speaking of God’s will expressed through His Word and its power to change lives we are told:  “Of His own will He brought us forth by the Word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures”.  (James 1:18)  God’s Word has the power to regenerate fallen man and turn us into His best harvest.   Read it Saints, God is waiting to reveal Himself in all His splendor that you might live!
